Protecting Your Privacy Flyer

  • Who is watching you online?
  • How dangerous is clicking "I Agree?"
  • How do you protect your actions?

William Quinn, the Information Security Officer at Motlow State Community College, presents how to protect your privacy in this digital age. You'll learn exactly what privacy is, why you should care about your privacy, and tools and techniques to make your online life private.

The seminar goes over what privacy is, why you should care about your own privacy, and various ways to help protect your privacy in the digital world. Learn about the various stages of privacy, who is tracking you online, what you may have inadvertently agreed to, and how you can better be aware of your digital privacy. Everyone has an inherent right to privacy, but not everyone knows how to protect their digital lives – services such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram provide a convenience to connect everyone, but at what cost to the individual?
