Objective - by the end of week 4, you will be able to:

  1. Identify key elements of 'mise en scène', including setting, lighting, costume, and staging, and discuss how these elements contribute to the film's overall aesthetic and narrative.

  2. Identify scenes in Toto les Héros that highlight existentialism and the director's use of 'mise-en-scène' to enhance these existential themes.

Academic Video Online (AVON) is an additional source students may choose to explore, featuring documentaries, independent films, and classic literary adaptations.

Another resource available to browse is Films on Demand, an academic film platform that covers academic, vocational, and life-skills topics, in addition to fine arts performances.
